My dear friends,

Our political beliefs are often a reflection of our thought processes. It’s important to recognize that imperfection is a human trait, and no one is exempt from it.

Let’s compare briefly #NDA & #INDIA on a scale with few parameters.

Violence and Importance of Peace

The Congress party has faced scrutiny for the 1984 riots, sparked by the violent demise of Indira Gandhi. Additionally, their lack of response to the Sri Lankan civil war has been interpreted by some as an implicit approval of the atrocities that occurred, particularly in the wake of Rajiv Gandhi’s assassination.

Similarly, the BJP has been associated with several Hindu-Muslim riots and unrest. Their affiliates have been involved in the demolition of a place of worship, replacing it with a temple, another thing is 2002 Gujarat riots, which has led to increased intolerance among some Indians.

India’s legacy is one of resilience and diversity, having borne witness to countless historical events that have shaped its communities

Embracing tolerance is essential, as seeking retribution for past actions is neither feasible nor constructive. It is through understanding and forgiveness that we can transcend a retaliatory mindset and foster a more harmonious existence.

Peace graces those who release the burdens of past grievances. It is through forgiveness that we cultivate serenity within our hearts. To harbor support for those who sow seeds of discord is to nurture the ailment of animosity.

In contrast, love is the remedy that heals and restores.

Corruption and its allies

Moreover, India is home to countless middle-class and lower-class individuals who, despite lacking savings, are not lazy. They work tirelessly, often without vacations or rest, enduring pain and hardship.

This systemic issue traps many in a cycle of poverty, with only a few managing to break free, sometimes aided by government schemes like those promised by Congress in their 2024 election manifesto.

Addressing corruption, it’s evident that our democratic system has its flaws, with selfish individuals at the helm. Such people are not exclusive to any one party; they are found across the political spectrum, all seeking wealth to lead a lavish lifestyle.

When the BJP claims to eradicate corruption by targeting parties like Congress, DMK, and others in INDIA bloc, it’s worth questioning them whether they are free from corruption.

With India’s national debt increasing to 205 lakh crores, it’s clear that the issue of corruption is widespread.

The rapid growth of Adani’s wealth over the past decade and the concentration of contracts awarded to his companies have raised questions about the competitiveness of India’s corporate landscape.

It prompts a broader inquiry into whether there are other entities capable of challenging this dominance.

The integrity of the BJP has been called into question as individuals with allegations of corruption have been integrated into the party, leading to the dismissal of their cases. This has led to public scrutiny regarding the party’s stance on corruption.

It is claimed that a significant proportion of BJP members were formerly affiliated with other parties, including the Congress, suggesting that issues of corruption are not confined to a single party. Thus, it is essential for the electorate to critically evaluate these concerns.

Whom You should Vote and Why?

It’s crucial to think critically about these issues. Elections should be a time for national growth, development, and progress.

Political parties craft manifestos to outline their promises to the electorate. These pledges should be honored once they assume power, as they form the basis of the public’s trust. Failure to deliver on these promises can lead to public discontent and protests—a fundamental aspect of a democratic society like India.

We must look forward, learning from the past to shape a better future.

As you consider your vote, reflect on the commitments made. The Congress party has already published their manifesto on April 5th. Meanwhile, another party, boasting of winning over 400 seats, just reveal their plans.

Think about the potential consequences of their policies. Do you wish to see a repeat of unsuccessful initiatives like demonetization or unfulfilled promises of retrieving black money from the Swiss?

Consider the economic implications. There is speculation that petrol prices could soar to ₹200 per liter, and LPG could reach ₹2000 if certain parties come to power.

Taxes, including GST, might increase, and the common man’s labor could be undervalued.

Your vote is powerful.

It can either endorse the vision of a party promising positive change or risk placing the burden of stress on the nation’s 1.4 billion people.

Stress, a significant health risk to heart attack and stroke, has been on the rise over the past decade.

Electing a government that promotes well-being can lead to happiness in our families and communities, thereby enhancing the nation’s health.

We need a robust and healthy nation to secure a prosperous future for our children.

Choose wisely.

Jai Hind.
